…Tiggy didn’t answer. His eyes were closed now, his body heavy and relaxed. The gentle rumble of his mama’s purr was the most beautiful sound in the world, a soft blanket of sound wrapping him in comfort. He drifted, not into a lonely, scary sleep, but into a warm, safe slumber, nestled against the heart of his mama. The jungle was quiet, yes, but it wasn’t scary anymore. It was peaceful. It was rest. And Tiggy, the little tiger cub who didn’t want to nap, finally understood. He was safe, he was loved, and he was finally, wonderfully, asleep.
