The family had settled, not without its challenges, but with a deep sense of gratitude and a quiet determination to build a life for themselves in this new land. The strictness of the school, the adjustments to a new culture, the lingering memories of their past – these were all threads woven into the tapestry of their lives. But the overarching color was one of hope, of a future that, while still uncertain, was filled with the promise of what could be. Hatem looked out the window of their apartment, the familiar cityscape of Halifax stretching before him, a landscape he was slowly, surely, beginning to call home.
