…The two-minute walk home suddenly felt longer, not in distance, but in the weight of the thoughts he carried. He was still learning, still struggling, but for the first time, he felt a true sense of belonging, not just to his family, but to this new place, this new life. He was no longer just an observer; he was a part of the ecosystem, a keystone species in his own right, ready to help define it, to shape it, to grow within it. The strictness of the school, the challenges of the language, they were all part of the landscape, a landscape he was slowly, surely, beginning to call his own.
