…The path ahead was still shrouded in mist, but for the first time in a long time, he felt a flicker of possibility, a quiet hope that this new land, this new school, would be a place where he could truly begin to live his life. The strictness of the school was a challenge, yes, but perhaps, just perhaps, it was also a structure, a framework within which he could build something strong, something lasting. He looked out the window, the Canadian sky a vast, beckoning expanse, and for the first time, he felt a sense of belonging, however small, however tentative. The journey was far from over, but here, on this Canadian soil, a new beginning was taking root.
