"The lack of forced entry. The precision. It wasn't a robbery gone wrong. This was personal, or… something else." She paused, her gaze falling on a detail she’d initially dismissed. "The way the children were positioned. Almost as if they were placed there. And the… the absence of any struggle in their room. They were asleep. Peaceful." A shiver traced its way down her spine, a cold premonition she couldn’t quite shake.
