The serpent, meant to instill fear and signify their power, had become the very clue that would lead to their capture. Zee, despite the pain coursing through her, felt a surge of fierce determination. The hunter had become the hunted, but the chase was far from over. She was injured, vulnerable, but her mind was sharper than ever. The killer had made a mistake, a fatal one, born of their own twisted pride. And now, Zee would ensure that mistake was their last.
