…The sweetness was a faint echo of pleasure, but it was quickly overshadowed by the overwhelming awareness of her own isolation. She was surrounded by a world that seemed to be moving on, a world of ordinary interactions and simple joys, but she was trapped behind an invisible barrier, a prisoner of her own amplified senses and fractured mind. The drugs had promised an escape, but they had only deepened her confinement, leaving her adrift in a sea of confusion, the shore of sanity receding further with each passing day. The world, once merely difficult, had become an unbearable, terrifying place, and she was lost within its shadows.
