…They sat together, puppy and puppy witch, sharing the magical, unpredictable brew. The house was still a little messy from the flour explosion and the rainbow ribbons, but Scotty didn't mind. The air hummed with a gentle, contented magic. He looked at Sparky, who was now licking his lips with utter satisfaction, and felt a warmth spread through his chest that had nothing to do with the cauldron’s glow. He was a witch, alright. A witch who could make the most wonderfully strange and utterly delightful treats, with a little help from her best friend and a very mischievous cauldron. And that, he decided, was even better than a perfect cake.
