…As the sun began its slow descent, casting long shadows across the forest floor, Symali sat in silence. The gray cloud hadn't vanished, but perhaps, just perhaps, a tiny sliver of light was beginning to filter through. The idea of a new path, an adventure in stillness, felt daunting, yes, but also… intriguing. Barnaby nudged her again, and this time, Symali leaned into his warmth, a small, hesitant breath escaping her lips. The woods were still whispering, but for the first time in a long time, she felt a faint stirring, a possibility that even in the gray, there might be a bloom waiting to unfurl.
