…With that, Barnaby and Squeaky set off towards the Whispering Willows, the gnome’s grumpy gloom momentarily lifted by the promise of a rescue. Barnaby, his paws now moving with a purpose, felt a thrill of adventure course through him. He was no longer just a bored bear; he was a bear on a mission, a bear who was going to help a grumpy gnome get his sparkly hat back. And perhaps, just perhaps, he might even encounter some of that silly magic Squeaky had been talking about. The woods felt a little less ordinary now, and a lot more exciting.
