And as she looked at the somber trees, the unhappy sprites, and the stern, unsmiling badger, a tiny, mischievous spark ignited within her. She had a feeling that her infectious giggles might just be the thing this peculiar forest needed. But for now, all she could do was stand there, a giggly girl in a world that had forgotten how to smile, and wonder what on earth was going to happen next.
