…Rodarak landed beside her, his midnight scales gleaming. He looked at his queen, at the raw power that emanated from her, and bowed his head in reverence. “You have done it, Lyra. You have struck them down.” Lyra’s gaze was fixed on the horizon, where the last vestiges of the corrupted dragons had vanished. The battle was won, but the war had just begun. The ancient voice, though silenced, had promised more. “This is only the beginning, Rodarak,” she murmured, her voice heavy with the weight of her new understanding. “They will return. And they will bring their master with them.” The realm was still at peace, but the war of the dragons reign had been irrevocably ignited.
