…I dipped the pen into the inkwell, the black liquid swirling like a miniature galaxy. The first syllable. A single word, a single thought. It was a small beginning, a quiet act of defiance against the weight of yesterday. But it was a beginning nonetheless. And as I began to write, slowly, deliberately, I felt a faint stirring, a nascent sense of possibility. The page was still mostly blank, but now, it held the promise of a story yet to be told, a story I was finally ready to write.
