…She knew, with a certainty that both thrilled and frightened her, that she couldn't spend another day trying to be the perfect princess. The jester had shown her a glimpse of a different path, a path paved with laughter, missteps, and the glorious, unpredictable adventure of simply being. And as the first rays of dawn painted the sky, Aurelia made a decision. A decision that would send ripples of bewilderment and amusement through her kingdom, a decision that would set her free. The porcelain doll was about to step out of her display case and into the riotous, messy, wonderful world. And she couldn't wait.
