…“Surprise me, Flicker,” she said, her voice filled with a delightful sense of the unknown. “Just… surprise me.” The cart bumped along, carrying its two unlikely occupants away from the predictable comforts of royalty and towards the glorious, messy, and utterly exhilarating unknown. The kingdom, left behind in a state of bewildered amusement, would eventually adjust. But Aurelia, no longer a princess but simply Aurelia, had finally found her sparkle, not in the perfection of her gilded cage, but in the glorious, unpredictable chaos of the open road. The jester’s bells jingled, a merry soundtrack to the beginning of a truly grand, and hilariously imperfect, adventure.
