…The Unlikely Fighter. The Rent Money Champion. The legend. It was a funny, ridiculous chapter. A chapter I was grateful to have lived, but one I was even more grateful to have closed. I had my rent paid, my landlord appeased, and a quiet life stretching out before me, blessedly free of the need to punch anyone for cash. And that, I realized, was a victory far more valuable than any championship belt. The legend might live on in the smoky backrooms of the underground, but Arthur Pumble was ready for a quiet, ordinary, and decidedly un-punchy future.
