The Unfolding of Sarah

…Sarah stared at the screen, a dawning realization spreading through her. The chaos, the frustration, the sheer, unadulterated mess of her family life, the very things she’d often viewed as burdens, were, in fact, her muse. The disastrous family dinner, the runaway cat, the spilled gravy boat – it wasn’t just a catastrophe. It was a poem waiting to happen. And it had happened. And people liked it. A thrill, sharp and electric, shot through her. Maybe, just maybe, this was more than just a funny anecdote. Maybe, this was the beginning of something. Something wonderfully, hilariously, poetically new. The gravy stain on her soul was starting to look suspiciously like inspiration.
