…When the music ended, I stood center stage, my chest heaving, a sheen of sweat on my skin. I wasn’t holding my breath for applause. I wasn’t scanning the faces of the judges for a sign of approval. I simply felt… free. I had danced for myself. I had danced for the love of it. And in that moment, that was enough. More than enough. As I walked off stage, I caught Kelly’s eye. She gave me a small, knowing nod, a smile that spoke volumes. And in that shared glance, I knew I had found something more valuable than a spot on any team – I had found my own unwavering belief.
