…I took a shaky breath, the scent of sweat and floor polish filling my lungs. The music had stopped, leaving a ringing silence. The stumble was real. The argument had been sharp. But Kelly’s words, her unwavering faith, were also real. And maybe, just maybe, that was the most important thing. I was tired, I was scared, and I was riddled with doubt, but I wasn't broken. Not yet. I just needed to remember how to rise.
