…As Lily’s laughter echoed through the room, a sound more beautiful than any music, Barnaby Bear settled back into his spot on the sofa, his worn button eye fixed on his beloved owner. He was just a toy again, a silent, inanimate object. But he knew, and so did the other toys, that they were so much more. They were the guardians of Lily’s dreams, the silent heroes of Brightville, and their adventure, though over for now, had forged a bond between them as strong and as enduring as Lily’s love for her home. The toys of Brightville had saved the day, and Lily would never know how close she had come to losing everything, or how her beloved toys had risked it all to ensure she wouldn't.
