…Astra beamed, her entire face lighting up. “Got it! Thank you, Mechanic Gleep! You won’t regret this!” Gleep just grunted, already heading towards the ship’s control panel, a familiar scowl back in place, but with a new, almost imperceptible twinkle in his perpetually narrowed eyes. “We’ll see about that,” he muttered, a hint of something that might have been amusement in his voice. The Star Wanderer, with its patches and its smells and its grumpy mechanic, began to hum to life, ready for a chase that Astra, for the first time in a long time, was genuinely looking forward to.
