…Astra’s heart leaped. “Thank you! Thank you so much!” She bounced on the balls of her feet, the ill-fitting helmet wobbling precariously. “I’m Astra, by the way!” Gleep just grunted, turning back to his console. “Gleep,” he muttered, before muttering something else that sounded suspiciously like, “And I’m going to regret this.” Astra, however, was already too excited to notice. The adventure, the danger, the chance to do something truly unexpected – it was all finally happening. And it was all thanks to a grumpy mechanic and a ship that was, at best, mostly functional.
