…The ancient canyons, once suffocating ovens, now held the promise of shade. The petrified forests, their branches brittle and grey, seemed to absorb the gentle light, a hint of green, impossibly, beginning to unfurl. The people of Xylos, blinking in the soft, new dawn, felt a stirring within them. It was more than just the cooling of their world. It was the awakening of possibility. They looked at each other, their faces etched with hardship but now illuminated by a nascent wonder. The Solstice Sphere, this miracle of the void, had not just brought them out of the fire; it had brought them into the light, a dawn of a second sun, and the dawn of a new era for Xylos.
