It was a soft, sibilant whisper, a multitude of voices speaking at once, too low to decipher, yet filled with an undeniable malice. The presence. It was here, in the darkness, waiting. And Chloe’s nightmare, it seemed, had only just begun. The walls of this new space, unlike the concrete of the common room, felt less like a physical barrier and more like a psychological cage, designed to trap not our bodies, but our minds. I felt a cold dread settle over me, a certainty that whatever lay ahead, it would test us in ways we couldn’t possibly imagine.
