…I turned and started walking, not towards Silas, nor towards the lost and frightened remnants of our group, but towards the anomaly. The ground beneath my feet was still smooth, but now it felt like the surface of a vast, uncharted ocean. The fear was still there, a constant companion, but it was now tinged with a desperate, exhilarating curiosity. The horizons had shifted, not just in the sky, but within me. The comfort of my old beliefs was a distant memory, replaced by the terrifying, wondrous unknown. I was no longer a pilgrim seeking an edge; I was an explorer stepping into a universe I had never conceived.
