…I scrambled back up the rough-hewn steps, my lungs burning, the image of his cold eyes seared into my mind. The archive, once my sanctuary, now felt like a trap. I had found the hidden chamber, I had confronted the antagonist, but the artifact’s whisper, and the true nature of the shadowed scholars, remained shrouded in a mystery far deeper than I had ever imagined. The convergence was coming, and I was no longer sure if I was racing against time to expose a truth, or to prevent a catastrophe I might have inadvertently unleashed. The whispers of the artifact, once distant, now seemed to echo not just from the chamber, but from within my own racing heart.
