…And a new, unknown path beckoned, shrouded in an unsettling silence. The hike, which had started with such youthful exuberance, had morphed into a nightmare, and the true horror was only just beginning to unfold. The children stood at a crossroads, the weight of their lost friend pressing down on them, the unsettling absence of Liam a dark question mark hanging in the oppressive air. They had to make a choice: turn back and admit defeat, or press onward into the unknown, hoping against hope to find Sophie, and perhaps, in the process, uncover the truth behind Liam’s vanishing act. The mountain, once a symbol of adventure, now loomed as a silent, ominous witness to their unfolding dread.
