…She called out again, her voice trembling, but the darkness swallowed her pleas. She was trapped, a prisoner in the heart of the mountain, with no one to hear her cries. The initial shock gave way to a gnawing dread, a realization that she was utterly alone. The hike, the summit, the adventure – it all seemed like a distant, fading dream. Now, there was only the darkness, the cold, and the chilling certainty that her friends, unaware of the true danger, were somewhere out there, perhaps searching, perhaps already giving up. And one of them, the one no one had noticed missing, was the reason she was here. The thought was a dark, unsettling whisper in the suffocating silence.
