…The Catholic and Orthodox Churches honor this sacred family through various feast days: Saints Joachim and Anne, the Visitation, and the Nativity of Mary. These celebrations remind us of the vital role of family in God’s plan, the faith of Mary’s relatives, and the enduring legacy of love and devotion that cradled the Mother of God and paved the way for the Savior of the world. Their stories, rooted in the soil of ancient Judea, continue to resonate, reminding us that even the most profound divine purposes are often nurtured within the embrace of human connection and unwavering faith.
