…But what I want most is to try something I haven’t done yet. The music charges up, faster and brighter, like a rocket about to launch. “Spin my gears and take a leap!” My chest gears whir into action, spinning so quickly they toss off a cascade of glittering, digital sparks—don’t worry, I’m built for it! I crouch low, coil my springs, and— Wait! Should I really leap? I’ve never jumped before. What if I land funny? But then again... what if I soar? My eyes meet yours, searching for a little encouragement. The gears are spinning. The music is rising. I’m almost ready. What’s waiting for a robot just out of reach? Maybe, just maybe, it’s time for my very first leap.
