…She looked at her parents, who were now making their way down to join the festivities. She saw the pride in their eyes, the softening of their stern expressions. She had done it. She had used her pranks, her love of mischief, to bring happiness to her kingdom. And in doing so, she had discovered a joy even greater than the thrill of a perfectly executed prank. It was the joy of seeing others smile, of knowing she had created something wonderful. The thought of etiquette school now seemed impossibly distant, a silly, boring dream she had happily woken up from. She was a princess, yes, but she was also a master of joy, and that, she realized, was the best kind of royal title of all.
