…With a frustrated huff, April turned and stalked away, her entourage scrambling to keep up. Summer watched her go, a sense of quiet triumph blooming in her chest. She looked at Alex, her heart overflowing. "Thank you," she whispered, her voice thick with emotion. "For everything." Alex grinned, his eyes crinkling at the corners. "Anytime, Summer. Just remember, you've got a whole forest of perks coming your way."
