…The dragon blinked his pale blue eyes, and a faint shimmer seemed to ripple across his scales. He lowered his massive head slightly, as if in acknowledgement. Coco, surprisingly, didn’t cower. She let out a small, curious bark and took a tentative step forward. Felix watched her, his gaze steady. Alex knew, with a certainty that settled deep in his soul, that he had found him. And he knew, just as surely, that he couldn’t leave him here alone. This magnificent creature, this living legend, needed a home. He needed care. He needed… Alex. A wide smile spread across Alex’s face. “Come on, Felix,” he said, his voice filled with a newfound resolve. “Let’s go home.”
