…As the last song faded, leaving a lingering echo of happy exhaustion, the kitchen was transformed. The laundry was neatly folded, the dishes were clean, and the table gleamed. The children, flushed and breathless, collapsed onto the floor, their faces alight with the glow of accomplishment and shared joy. The Mom, her superhero cape (a dishtowel) still draped around her shoulders, knelt amongst them, her heart full. They had faced the day’s challenges, not with grumbles and sighs, but with music and laughter. The adventure had been a success, and the greatest superpower of all, she knew, was the love and laughter that bound them together.
