…“It’s… it’s here,” Paul stammered, leaning against the door, his chest heaving. He could hear the creature’s frantic scrabbling against the metal, the chilling scrape of its claws. “The things from the news. They’re real.” Kevin let out a whimper, pressing himself against Lilly’s side. “It’s trying to get in!” The scrabbling intensified, a relentless, gnawing sound. The metal of the door groaned under the assault. Paul raised his rifle, his sights trained on the door, his knuckles white. He knew, with a sickening certainty, that this was just the beginning. The snow, once their sanctuary, had become their cage. And the Molly Queenie, whatever it was, had found them. The hunt had begun.
