…As the first rays of dawn began to filter through the grimy windows of the abandoned wing, a fragile silence settled over the operating theater. The mimick’s reign of terror had ended, not with a bang, but with the shattering of glass and the dissolution of a borrowed form. But the echoes of its presence, the scars it had left on their lives, would remain. The truth, however twisted and horrifying, had finally been unraveled.
