I think… I think we have to take it back.” The shadows seemed to press closer, a silent, suffocating testament to the truth of her words. The whispers of the shadow had become a roar, and Lyra knew, with a certainty that settled deep in her bones, that her life, and the fate of their world, had just irrevocably changed.
