…She knew the journey ahead would be perilous, fraught with dangers Lyra could scarcely imagine. But she also saw the flicker of courage in Lyra’s eyes, the first hesitant steps towards embracing a destiny that had been dormant for far too long. The Mark of the Stars had awakened, and with it, the long-dormant promise of light. The Shadow Weaver had been alerted, and the world, both the lost and the forgotten, would soon bear witness to the unfolding of an ancient conflict. The locket pulsed in Lyra’s hand, a tiny beacon against the encroaching night, a silent testament to the dawn that might, just might, break again.
