…They moved through the narrow confines, their footsteps echoing softly. The passage twisted and turned, a subterranean maze, and Aurelia clung to the hope that this path, however dark, would lead her not to an end, but to a beginning. The whispers of the palace, the echoes of her past, were growing louder, and she knew, with a certainty that both thrilled and terrified her, that she was finally on the road to reclaiming not just a kingdom, but herself. The air grew colder, the darkness deeper, and then, a faint light ahead promised an end to their descent, and perhaps, the beginning of everything.
