We have each other.” He turned back to the Shadowstone, his hand reaching for it once more. As his fingers closed around its cold surface, the tiny sparks within flared, brighter than before. He felt a surge of warmth, a protective energy radiating from the stone, and from within himself. The approaching Voidspawn faltered for a moment, as if momentarily blinded by the nascent light. The storm was gathering, but Farius was ready to face it.
