…desperately needed, a moment of chaos. “Now!” TheLuckyAlien roared, hauling himself back inside the relative safety of the ship and slamming the hatch shut, the clang echoing in the sudden quiet. “Full thrust, straight through the debris! Get us out of here!” As the debris field fell away behind them, a transmission crackled through the comm. It was the blue-skinned figure, her voice steady. “The settlement is safe. The pirates have scattered. Go well, seed-bearers. We will hold the line in our own way.” The signal faded.
