Then he felt the resonance of Echo within him—not afraid, but furious. “No,” Shift said quietly, planting his boots against the empty air, using Echo’s localized gravity field to lock himself in place. “We aren't running.” He reached out both hands toward the crystalline lens, the obsidian symbiote armor shifting and re-forming into heavy, dense gauntlets pulsing with high-frequency resonance. “Echo... let’s show them what happens when a shadow learns to bite back.”
