After a long moment, he took a hesitant step forward, then another, until he stood before Kael, his small, grubby hand reaching out to grasp the knight’s gauntleted one. "Alright, Sir Knight," Gribble said, his voice barely a whisper, but with a newfound solemnity. "I'll… I'll tell them. I'll tell them it was all Gribble’s game." A single, iridescent beetle wing, caught in the sunlight filtering through the roots, shimmered and fell, a tiny, silent witness to the beginning of Eldoria’s healing.
