He knew the path ahead would be fraught with danger, a confrontation with both Emmatos and the lingering shadows of his own history. But as he strode forward, the first rays of sunlight catching the determined set of his jaw, he knew he was finally ready to face it all. The debt to the past would be paid, not in destruction, but in the forging of a new legacy, one of protection and peace.
