He felt the familiar hum of power surge through him, a power he had long suppressed, a power that now felt like a necessary extension of himself. The fear he had felt for his peace, for his anonymity, began to recede, replaced by a grim determination. Emmatos had hunted him, had threatened the innocent. And for that, Emmatos would pay. The shadow of the Demon King had been cast, and it was about to engulf the tyrannical king.
