…Leo grunted again, his gaze fixed on a particular cluster of symbols. He’d spent days poring over them, cross-referencing with every scrap of ancient lore he’d ever acquired. His crew, a motley collection of cutthroats and castaways, grew restless. Their patience, like their coin purses, was finite. They yearned for the glint of gold, the promise of plunder, not this endless chase after a ghost. “Tears of ages…” Leo mused aloud, his voice a low rumble.
