…The words hung in the air, heavy and suffocating. "Go outside?" Opeyemi whispered, the reality of the sentence dawning on him. Banished. From his own home. The thought was so alien, so terrifying, it momentarily eclipsed the loss of the power bank. "Yes, outside," his mother confirmed, her voice unwavering. "Go. And do not return until you have something sensible to say, or something sensible to show." She turned back to the kitchen, the unspoken message clear: the conversation
