…In the coming days, as Aggie’s fever broke and her laughter returned, stronger and brighter than before, Angela carried the memory of the Infant Jesus of Saint Joseph’s with her. She knew she would never forget the fear, the guilt, or the desperation. But more importantly, she would never forget the quiet peace she had found in that dim church, the lesson learned in the heart of a storm. She had taken a risk, acted on impulse, and in doing so, she had discovered the true meaning of compassion, the courage of her convictions, and the quiet strength that lay within her own kind heart. The Infant Jesus was back where He belonged, and so, Angela felt, was she.
