…As I looked out the window again, the sky now a deep, velvety blue dotted with the first shy stars, I felt a profound sense of peace. The pursuit of perfection had been a long, arduous climb. But the path I was now walking, the path of embracing my authentic self, felt like coming home. It was a path filled with its own challenges, of course, but it was a path paved with self-acceptance, with grace, and with the quiet, beautiful knowledge that I was, and always had been, enough.
