…The shattered dome offered no solace, only a view of a sky that seemed darker, more foreboding than before. The progenitor’s presence still lingered, a vast, ancient power that had acknowledged me, accepted me. And in doing so, had irrevocably changed me. I had embraced the abyss, and it had embraced me back. The Obsidian Hand was gone, defeated by a power they couldn’t comprehend. But the true threat, the ancient entity that had awakened within me, had only just begun to stir. The shadows had reached, and they had found me. And in their cold, dark embrace, I was no longer just Kael. I was something else. Something more. Something dangerous.
